I'm Deanna Mason, Founder of Needle Movers for Social Equity, and in the past I struggled with finding lessons for my children that shared the lives of people of color.

When my children were younger, it was challenging for me to find books and resources that shared the experiences of people of color in a way that expounded beyond the painful stories of our enslavement in America.

This Family Resources Vault was designed to be a starting point towards the goal of making what I struggled with easier for other parents.

We wanted to create a resource for families who imagine themselves sitting around fireplaces and dinner tables reading stories about the joys and celebrations of diverse cultures; and to enrich their own lived experiences by making room for those different than themselves.

I hope you and your children enjoy these resources as much as my team and their children do.

Diversify your child's learning experience & open their heart wider to the beauty of God's human creation.
